Reopening of the Quebec immigration investor program

New regulation pertaining to the Québec Immigration programs entered into force on August 2nd 2018 which created some changes to the QIIP.

Firstly, the minimum net worth to qualify for this program was increased from CAD $1,600,000 to CAD $2,000,000. In addition, the 5-year term loan to be made to the Quebec government has increased from CAD $800,000 to $1,200,000, but can still be financed by an authorized financial intermediary. The Quebec government also announced that the new intake for the QIIP program would be from September 10th2018 to March 15th 2019 with a maximum number of applications to be received of 1900, and a maximum of 1235 applications per country.
