The recently introduced Vocational Professionals Admission Scheme (VPAS) allows young people from all over the world, including Malaysia, to enroll in professional and vocational education and training in Hong Kong.
VPAS, a pilot program launched by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, invites non-resident students to enroll in specially designated full-time higher diploma (HD) programs offered by the Vocational Training Council (VTC) in the academic years 2024–2025 and 2025–2026.
After graduating successfully, they will earn credentials that are recognized throughout the world, enabling them to apply for jobs in the city. Ninety percent of the VTC’s HD graduates are currently working, and their starting salaries average US$2,000 per month.
